Markets in this workspace

This page follows who replaces the White House Press Secretary, and when. The September deadline has passed without an announcement: Kalshi's before October 1 rung is marked at 1%, and Polymarket's timing book expires tonight and has left the page.

The leader changed. Kalshi's next Press Secretary book turned $19,563 today and now has Anna Kelly at 19.5% and Scott Jennings at 15.5%; Polymarket agrees, Kelly 20.5% and Jennings 12.65%. Jennings was near 40% on both books when this page was rebuilt around the vacancy.

The money still goes where the price does not. Jennings' leg took the most on Kalshi, $3,656, and Natalie Harp at 3.5% took $2,187.

Kalshi's Categorical on the left, Polymarket's on the right: Kelly first and Jennings second on both, then a long tail of names under 8%. Polymarket's busiest leg today was Maria Bartiromo at 2.4%, $1,382 of a $1,789 day.

Kalshi's book also includes a "No new person" contract at 1.55%, which Polymarket's does not. That rung is the difference between a market on who and a market on whether.

Price against money, on the exchange that carries the depth.

By price: Kelly 19.5%, Jennings 15.5%, Daravi 7.5%, Pipko 7.5%, Alvarez 5.5%, Harp 3.5%, Habba 3.3%.

By twenty-four-hour volume: Jennings $3,656, Kelly $2,585, Harp $2,187, Pipko $1,062, "No new person" $814, Habba $765.

The four contracts below are Jennings, the former leader who still takes the most money; Habba, last month's volume story; Harp, the busiest longshot; and the contract that says nobody gets the job.

Kalshi's announcement ladder, $3,091 today: before October 1 at 1%, which took the most money ($1,469) as it ran out; before November 1 at 34.5%; before December 1 at 78%; before January 1, 2027 at 86.5%.

The market's median for an announcement has moved into November, and it still prices about one chance in seven that nobody is named this year.

Who leaves next prices RFK Jr. at 22.5%, Pete Hegseth at 15%, Scott Bessent 7.5%, Chris Wright 6.5% and Howard Lutnick 6%, on $2,119 today; Hegseth's leg took $275.

Alongside it, the contract that gave this workspace its slug: how many Attorneys General Trump has by January 2029. It prices two at 53.5% and three at 19%, and it has still never traded a dollar.

The Press Secretary book's trajectory since the vacancy opened: how Jennings separated, and how Kelly caught and passed him.

  • Kelly against Jennings. A four-point lead on Kalshi and eight on Polymarket, after Jennings led both near 40% when the page was rebuilt. Jennings' leg still takes the most money.
  • November 1. Kalshi prices an announcement before then at 34.5% and before December 1 at 78%; the steepest part of the ladder is the next two months.
  • "No new person" at 1.55%. Kalshi's book still prices a small chance the role is never filled; Polymarket has no equivalent contract.
  • Hegseth is second in the cabinet queue at 15%, behind RFK Jr. at 22.5%.
  • The AG count has never traded. Two Attorneys General at 53.5%, three at 19%, zero dollars since listing.
